Apply now for the next round of SGCP

We are looking for ten Swedish companies within cleantech who want to take the next step and enter the German market.

The Swedish-German Cleantech Platform (SGCP) is a program driven by the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce on behalf of the Swedish Energy Agency. The program is tailored for small and medium-sized companies with products, solutions, or services (including hardware) in green energy and energy efficiency that are looking for business opportunities and partners in Germany. Every year, ten selected innovative Swedish SMEs are given the opportunity to participate.

What you get when you join the program

The program includes two delegation trips to Germany with meetings with selected partners from the innovation ecosystem, study visits as well as pitches and individual business meetings with potential customers and partners. In addition, each participating company receives intercultural coaching and pitch training as preparation.

Participation is free of charge; you only need to pay for accommodation and travel costs to and within Germany. A participation at a trade fair within cleantech in Germany is recommended as part of the program to further accelerate the process and a joint stand is organized for the group. After participating in the program, you will have:

  • Developed an understanding of the German market, the business culture, and the innovation ecosystem
  • Built and extended business networks based on your company’s needs
  • Identified prioritized contacts and/or pilot project opportunities

Participation requirements

In addition to the specifications mentioned above, the following requirements apply to be eligible for participation in the program:

  • Market potential in Germany
  • Maturity for internationalization
  • Prioritizing the German market
  • Dedicated participation

The planning of the program, including the booking of individual meetings, requires financial and employee resources from the Swedish Energy Agency and the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce. Therefore, a strong commitment is also expected from the participating companies.

The biggest added value of your participation within SGCP is the personal interactions, which requires that at least one representative from the company is on site in Germany during our trips. In addition, participants must ensure that a replacement is available, i.e. a person who can jump in on short notice as a backup for the original representative.
