Hannover Messe Digital Edition – a premiere for SGCP

For the first time the Swedish Energy Agency has presented a virtual energy pavilion at Hanover Fair 2021. At this exclusively digital event, the agency chose to make a statement and confirm Sweden’s frontrunner position in the field of digitalization. Eleven Swedish cleantech companies exhibited their innovative products and solutions in the Swedish Energy Pavilion.

On top of this, they contributed to the conference program in six exhibitor livestreaming sessions and a webinar within the official conference program. The webinars focused on urban project development, smart cities and sustainable mobility plus fossil free heavy and public transports. In other sessions the pavilion was officially inaugurated by the Ambassador of Sweden to Germany, Per Thöresson, a live tour of the virtual pavilion was given and success stories of Swedish companies that made it on the German market were presented.

Exhibiting only digitally, taking part in digital business dating and meeting potential partners and customers as avatars has been a completely new experience. The exhibitors had of course preferred a physical fair to a purely digital, but equally agreed that being part of the digital fair was very valuable. To make sure that the Swedish Energy Pavilion will also be a trade fair highlight in coming digital or hybrid trade fairs, the results of this year’s effort are now being evaluated. Both we and the exhibitors will thus be well prepared!
