Eight Swedish companies with innovative cleantech solutions supported for expansion to Germany in 2025

Eight pioneering Swedish companies have been selected to join the Swedish-German Cleantech Platform (SGCP) 2025. This program, successfully running for over eleven years, is organized by the Swedish Energy Agency in collaboration with the German-Swedish Chamber of Commerce.

The Swedish-German Cleantech Platform promotes Swedish innovation and provides the German market with cutting-edge technology. The program is helping Swedish climate cleantech innovators to reach a market where there is room to grow and drive sustainable change.

The accelerator program focuses on providing participating companies with targeted market support to export their energy innovations, while also strengthening Sweden’s position as a leading innovation country. Individual mentoring, development of tailored market strategies, workshops, and pitch training are some of the modules available to participants during the year. The aim is to create favorable conditions for the upcoming joint delegation trips to Germany, with visits to potential customers and partners.

The overall goal of the program is to identify entry points into the German market, highlight key aspects of the German business culture, and strengthen participants’ knowledge of the German business ecosystem, including its institutions, clusters, incubators, and funding opportunities. Additionally, the participating companies gain direct contact with decision-makers, as well as buyers and business developers in search of new solutions that promote circular thinking and more efficient energy consumption.

The focus area for 2025 is sustainable cities. The German energy market is undergoing an intensive transformation phase, with the expansion of renewable energy and energy efficiency at its core. This creates continued opportunities for innovative solutions in electrification, energy storage, and smart grids. With significant investments in sustainable infrastructure and increasing demand for energy-efficient systems, there is a strong need for collaborations with innovative cleantech companies that can help drive development forward.
