Swedish Innovation Meets German Market Opportunities in Berlin
Over the course of three action-packed days, companies from the latest batch of the Swedish-German Cleantech Platform gathered in Berlin to take concrete steps toward entering the German market. The trip was filled with knowledge exchange, strategic meetings, and valuable networking opportunities – all with the shared goal of advancing the green transition in the energy sector.
A Strong Start at the Swedish Embassy
The delegation trip kicked off at the Embassy of Sweden in Berlin, where participants were introduced to the German energy market. With valuable input from BDEW and NRW.Energy4Climate, the companies gained insights into both the challenges and opportunities of Germany’s energy transition. The day wrapped up with a dynamic networking event focused on sustainable cities and heating and cooling solutions, setting a collaborative tone for the days to come.
Innovation at the Heart of SET Tech Festival
The second day took the delegation to the SET Tech Festival – a vibrant arena where innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment intersect. Our companies joined keynotes, panel discussions, and deep-dive workshops, but the real value lay in the conversations between sessions. It became clear: innovation happens where ideas meet action. The festival underlined the power of bringing together diverse perspectives to challenge the status quo and co-create tomorrow’s technologies.
Market Insights, Public Partnerships, and Future Visions
The final day offered a deeper look into both Berlin’s and Germany’s path to climate neutrality. Berlin Partner and VKU gave the delegation valuable insights into how the public sector is shaping the energy transition. The group also explored practical aspects of entering the German market, thanks to expert input from Germany Trade and Invest, Parkster, and legalpartner.berlin.
A visit to the EUREF-Campus showcased a thriving hub of energy innovation, where industry players collaborate and new ventures take root. The day concluded with the Investor Meetup & Cleantech Showcase, where several of our participating companies had the opportunity to pitch their solutions to investors and industry experts.
Looking Ahead: Long-Term Impact
This delegation trip clearly demonstrated the value of Swedish-German collaboration. The insights and connections gained will help Swedish cleantech companies successfully enter the German market and drive the green transition.
A big thank you to all partners and participants who made this trip a success. We’re excited to see where these new connections and ideas lead next!
